Reference data

Reference abstracts are abstracts from alfresco the organisation (often from standards organisations) which is, afar from casual revisions, static. This non-dynamic abstracts is sometimes aswell accepted as "standing data" Examples would be bill codes, Countries (in this case covered by a all-around accepted ISO 3166-1) etc. Reference abstracts should be distinguished from "Master Data" which is aswell almost changeless abstracts but basic from aural the the organisation e.g. products, departments, even customers.
